While we've all had to adjust to the "new normal" (whatever that is) our local business owners and managers each have their own story to tell about how they've been affected and what they are doing during these unprecedented times. Dig Local is proud to partner with our friend, Ann Smith, at Leap Frog Tours to interview some of the awesome folks who make Asheville, Asheville.

Five Fresh Local Tunes Have Been Added to the
Dig Local Playlist on Spotify!

One of the five new songs added this week is Whirlwind by Bill Altman

Bill Altman is a blues-rock composer, singer and guitarist. He also works in theater as a pit musician, performer, and music director. He may well be the only Bluesman you know who has played Muddy Waters AND Andrew Lloyd Weber! Listen to his song Whirlwind on our playlist.

Meals for Service Industry Heroes Every Saturday!

To our friends in the service industry who've lost their jobs: Please join us on Saturday, April 25th for a free "to go" meal prepared by our friends at Wicked Weed Brewing's Cultura. This is a WEEKLY RECURRING event. These meals are made possible through a generous anonymous donor! We will be setting up in the parking lot next to the Asheville Masonic Temple and offering curbside service distributing meals from noon until 2pm or until they run out.

For the safety of our beautiful community:
  •  If you come by car, please stay in your car at all times.
  •  If you come by foot, please keep a social distance of at least 6 feet.
  •  Wear a mask if you have one
Thanks, y'all! We hope to see you Saturday! #AshevilleStrong
