Have y'all missed going to the WNC Nature Center as much as we have? We've got good news! Kate Frost, the Director of Development is very excited to share all of the ways that they are adapting to these new norms. While you may not be able to go and see your favorite reptile friends, you can still see a majority of the outdoor exhibits or even tune in online and participate in the Brews and Bears event (Uno and Ursa are so excited to see you!)

While we've all had to adjust to the "new normal" (whatever that is), our local business owners and managers each have their own story to tell about how they've been affected and what they are doing during these unprecedented times. Dig Local is proud to partner with our friend, Ann Smith, at Leap Frog Tours to interview some of the awesome folks who make Asheville, Asheville.

Downtown After Five
The Virtual Downtown After 5 series wraps up Friday, Sept. 18 from 5:30-8:30 pm with Jonathan Scales Fourchestra and The Fritz (pictured) .
Jonathan Scales is one of the most innovative steel pannists on the planet and is redefining and challenging traditional expectations of his signature instrument. In his hands, the sonic palette of an instrument often associated with cruise ships and tropical resorts is radically expanded to mimic the role of horns, piano, vibraphone, or marimba due to his stunning, virtuosic technique.
The Fritz is a soul-driven dance rock band with an aggressive approach to funk, soul, and rock. They create a sound that is uniquely their own. Their high-energy, danceable songs provide a platform for each member to shine. With powerful vocals, climactic solos, and tight grooves, The Fritz has built a devoted following and is captivating audiences everywhere.
