Have a Ball on the Art Crawl!

Artists, merchants and entertainers will gather on the lawn of Isis Music Hall on Saturday, June 12, from 11 am to 6 pm for the Heart of West Asheville Art Crawl. Shops, restaurants and businesses in the area will participate, including Provisions Mercantile, Plays in Mud Pottery, Instant Karma and Biscuit Head. Look for the yellow balloons!

Brews and Bears w/ The WNC Nature Center

After being cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, Brews and Bears has come out of hibernation just in time for summer! On Friday, July 9, and Friday, August 13, from 5:30-8:00 pm the WNC Nature Center will host the after-hours event. There will be food, drink, and music, and enrichment activities for Uno and Ursa, the resident black bears. Admission to Brews and Bears is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. New this year, tickets can include a beer token and there is a VIP option that includes a signature Brews and Bears Silipint cup and the opportunity to jump the line for drinks.

Bearwallow Mountain - Hike #13

Bearwallow Mountain Trail is a 2.1 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Gerton, North Carolina / Hickory Nut Gorge with wildflowers, sweeping views and some picnic spots. You might see cows here too so watch out for cow poop!  Join us every week as we discover what makes Asheville so beautiful with the help of our friends at Hike NC with Me.

Summer Patio Plant Sale

Heather Davis Studio & Gallery and GRIND have teamed up to bring plants to Pink Dog Creative on the weekends. Whynot Farm, which is affiliated with HDS&G, raises the plants on its farmland in Eastern TN, so they are locally-raised! The plant sale will take place on Saturdays and Sundays on the patio at Pink Dog as long as the weather cooperates.

Rockin' Bluegrass at Isis

Growing up just down the road from Doc Watson, Billboard-charting artists Cane Mill Road rock traditional bluegrass standards while boldly writing original music that often walks the lines between Bluegrass, Americana, Old-time, and Folk. Isis Music Hall hosts the group with the show kicking off at 7pm. Audiences love Cane Mill Road’s high-energy performances, easy going rapport, and the eclectic mix of originals and standards in the show.
