4) Valentine's Cookie Decorating Class at 12 Bones Brewing

Join 12 Bones Brewing and Three Eggs Cakery for a Valentine’s Day cookie decorating class this Friday. Jackie of Three Eggs will coach you and provide all the tools needed. We recommend getting a pint of the Cheeky Gander and some BBQ (yes, they serve their delicious 12 Bones food here, too) while making adorable cookies for your friends/family.

6) Valentine's at The Grove Arcade

Spend Valentine's Day with your loved one at the romantic Grove ArcadeFlora Diva will be selling handpicked flowers and arrangements all day! Marc Keller will be playing a variety of guitar instrumentals and vocal music all day. They will also have their very own Catalina Rose doing hand-written couple's poetry for free. This is a multi-day event taking place Feb 12-14th so take your bae to one of the most architecturally romantic places in town. No cover.

Sometimes what you really need on Valentines to make you feel less alone is hearing some lonesome songs about mama, cheating, heartache, jukeboxes, and the whiskey that washes it down. Local honky tonk band Fancy and the Gentlemen perform classic lonesome songs at The Odditorium on February 13th.

Aaaand, finally for the person who is not feeling so lovey dovey, Sunday from 1-4 pm outside Hi-Wire at Asheville Biltmore Village take your frustrations out on a car (legally). They'll have an arsenal of bludgeoning devices available for you to choose from for your demolition. Sign up in person on the day of starting at noon. Psychedelic emo rock band Shutterings will be providing the aggressive tunes to help get in the mood. Cost: 5 hits for $5, 15 hits for $10
