Asheville FM on your phone, all the time!

103.3 Asheville FM Announces the Asheville FM Phone App!
As App creators ourselves we can be pretty critical of apps. But y'all, we are so digging the brand new 103.3 Asheville FM app. This new app allows you to listen while also using your phone for other things like texting, browsing, and using other apps (like Dig Local to see where to go and what to do in AVL!) You're able to pause and rewind the live audio, view the program schedule, and best of all, explore and listen to archived content whenever you want. You can even share stories with your friends and feedback with the station.

Here is a rundown of some of our personal favorite shows:

  • Slumber Party: Best variety talk show ever with Asheville icons
  • All the Feels: Emo, post-punk, hardcore, old-school country
  • Music My Mother Would Not Like: roots, folk, Americana, blues
  • Let there be Rock: punk/underground
  • Grilled Cheese: very best of jam bands
  • Dreamers and Doers: Talk show of local folks making AVL a better place to live
  • Asheville FM Music Sessions: LOCAL music!

“The new app also helps extend our reach,” says KP Whaley, General Manager for Asheville FM. This is great news for radio listeners worldwide to stream the huge variety of programming that this hometown station offers. Congrats on your new technology, Asheville FM!

Just a few more weeks for these special cocktails!

We were recently at Posana to try some of their summer cocktails and they did not disappoint! The "Tickled Pink" (yes, on the far right) is a fun, refreshing twist on a vodka gimlet. It's the perfect balance of tart and sweet made with Luksasowa vodka, rosemary hibiscus syrup, and fresh lime juice. We gambled with the next selection and had the "Roll the Dice" (top left) featuring Flor de Caña rum, Giffard Peche de Vigne, ginger Syrup, fresh lemon juice, egg white, and cherry drizzle. It's not too sweet and the egg white makes it frothy and delicious. They'll only have these specialty summer drinks for a few more weeks so get them before Fall!
