Oyster House Brewing Company has been a West Asheville brewpub since 2009, on the corner of Haywood Road and Dorchester Avenue. They brew their own beer, including an oyster stout, and the kitchen turns out fresh seafood to go with it.

Locals treat it as a casual neighborhood seafood spot where you seat yourself, grab a house beer and hang out on the patio.

East Asheville's Highland Brewing is the city's first craft brewery, and Black Mountain has Pisgah Brewing and Lookout Brewing. South of town, try Sweeten Creek Brewing, Turgua in Fairview, 12 Bones Smokehouse in Arden, and Sierra Nevada and Mills River Brewing in Mills River.
