Short Street Cakes is a family-owned bakery on Haywood Road in the East West Asheville neighborhood, making 100% natural cakes from scratch. Founded by Jodi Rhoden and run since 2016 by Olga Jimenez, it bakes classic Southern cakes, cupcakes, birthday cakes and wedding cakes.

Locals order their birthday and wedding cakes here, and regulars stop in for a cupcake of the day. The Southern layer cakes are the draw.
