Sen Vietnamese Street Food is a family-run Vietnamese restaurant at 89 Patton Ave in downtown Asheville, opened in December 2025 by Quyen and Jesse Hawes in the old Sonora space. Quyen's parents and uncle cook in the kitchen, and the menu follows the street food of Hanoi. Pho is the anchor, with a broth that simmers 12 to 14 hours with lemongrass, star anise and cinnamon. There's also bun thit nuong, grilled pork over rice vermicelli, plus summer rolls with peanut sauce and egg rolls, and most of the menu is naturally gluten-free.
Get the pho with brisket and rare beef and add a round of summer rolls. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 AM, and closed Monday.
Locals like that the menu sticks to a few things done with care, and the red paper lanterns over the bar set the mood.
