Richmond Hill Park is a wooded city park on Richmond Hill Drive in West Asheville, covering about 180 acres above the French Broad River. It has an 18-hole disc golf course, natural-surface hiking and mountain bike trails kept up by Pisgah Area SORBA volunteers, a bike skills area, a picnic shelter and restrooms. The park is partly reopened after Hurricane Helene, and some trails have new reroutes and hazard closures. It's open every day from 6am to 10pm, and leashed dogs are welcome.
Wear long pants on the trails, since poison ivy grows thick along the edges. Check the city park page before you go for current Helene closures.
It's a local favorite for disc golf, and regulars ride the singletrack after work when Bent Creek feels too far.
