Uncommon Market Asheville is a curated pop-up market for antiques, art, vintage decor, jewelry, plants and handmade goods. Robert and Rebecca Nicholas, the founders of Marquee in the River Arts District, run it. Spring and fall markets are held one Sunday a month from 10am to 4pm at 1 Foundy Street in the River Arts District, outdoors, rain or shine, with free admission and parking. Food trucks and drinks are on site, and Mountain Pet Rescue brings adoptable dogs. The indoor Holiday Market takes over Battery Park Hall at 46 Haywood Street downtown for a weekend in early December.
Friendly dogs are welcome at the Foundy Street markets, but the indoor Holiday Market allows service dogs only.
Vintage hunters say it is the best place in town to find furniture, lighting and odd old pieces you will not see anywhere else.
