Mother is a bakery, cafe and natural wine spot on the South Slope from master baker Heidi Bass and Brett Watson, who runs the wine program. It grew out of a River Arts District bread and wine shop and now fills a former garage on Short Coxe Avenue. The Michelin Guide gave it a Bib Gourmand in 2026.
