Gourmand is a French-inspired rotisserie restaurant in Asheville's Montford neighborhood, on Broadway Street beside the Reed Creek Greenway. Breakfast brings coffee and pastries from French Broad Pastry; lunch and dinner center on roast chicken plates, sandwiches, salads and small plates. There is indoor seating and an outdoor deck along the greenway. Chef Peyton Barrell and Katie Grabach announced a November 7, 2026 opening for this location, following the loss of their planned River Arts District restaurant to Hurricane Helene.
Order a full meal before 3pm or after 5pm. During the afternoon rotisserie reset, cheese, charcuterie, retail snacks and beverages are still available.
Local bakery and supplier French Broad Pastry described the preview dinner as "pure France," singling out the saucisson sec, Beaufort cheese, salmon rillettes and fromage fort canapes. The bakery's first-taste report also praised the French wine selection.
