Little Jumbo runs one of the most serious free jazz programs in Western NC. The Creative Music Series fills the intimate Woodfin Street room every Monday and Tuesday night with world-class jazz musicians — no cover, no gimmick, just genuinely great playing in a small room where you're close enough to watch the conversation happen between players. The rotating roster includes The CORE on Mondays and near-weekly Tuesday sets from the Sanders/Boyd/Page/Hall quartet, the Page Brothers, Will Boyd & Kevin Spears, and The Will Boyd Project. The level is consistently high — these are serious musicians who treat every night like a real gig, not a bar set.
