Name: Wings Wednesday
Start: 2026-10-21
End: 2026-10-21
Location: Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack - West AVL

Wednesday at Rocky's on Patton Avenue in West Asheville is the 3 wing plate with two sides for $15. Wine's on special too, with $5 glasses and $15 bottles.

Get the wings hot if you like a kick, or keep them plain and let the sides do the talking.

Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack has been frying Nashville-style hot chicken in Asheville since 2009, and this is the West Asheville shop at 1455 Patton Avenue. Every piece is fried to order and starts out plain, then they spice it from mild up to extra hot, and plenty of regulars just get it plain.

The birds are naturally raised and the sides are made from scratch daily, from mac and cheese to collards. Beyond fried, there's rotisserie and grilled chicken, pot pies, chicken and waffles, salads and sandwiches, and they pour beer, wine and boozy slushies.

It's open 11 AM to 9 PM Sunday through Thursday and until 10 on Friday and Saturday, with a different special every day of the week.

West Asheville folks keep this one in the regular rotation, and the line out the door on weekends says plenty. The hot chicken gets the attention, but the mac and cheese has its own fan club.
