Asheville has a deep bench of local hemp and CBD shops, and this guide rounds them up. Searching for a weed dispensary in Asheville? Marijuana isn't legal in North Carolina outside Cherokee tribal land, so the shops in town sell hemp-derived products. Downtown, Sunfroot on Battery Park Avenue carries the Earthy Select and Earthy Now lines, Skyland Cannabis Co. is on Eagle Street, and Asheville Hemp Farms is inside the Grove Arcade. Octopus Garden has six shops around town, from Patton Avenue to Weaverville. Franny's Farmacy has shops in Asheville and Hendersonville, and Golden Goat has shops in Asheville and Swannanoa. Head east and Trinity Pharms is on Cherry Street in Black Mountain. Head west and Great Smoky Cannabis Company in Cherokee is owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Local growers and makers like Astria Farm, Green River Botanicals, Otherside Hemp and Appalachian Standard sell online, at their farms or through local shops. Most shops are for adults 21 and up, so bring an ID, and check each profile for hours, locations and what's on the shelves.
