Barktober Pet Photo Contest, Finalists Picked Week of Oct. 26

All Pets is running a Barktober pet photo contest. First place wins a year of flea and tick prevention, second a year of heartworm prevention, third a free wellness or sick exam, and fourth and fifth a free nail trim.

To enter, comment with a photo of your pet in costume on the contest post on the All Pets Facebook page. Finalists are picked the week of October 26, then voting starts.

No costume? Borrow one at 1312 Patton Avenue and snap a photo at the Barktober board, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Questions? Call 828-645-5252.

All Pets Animal Hospital and Rehabilitation Center is a full-service vet clinic at 1312 Patton Avenue in West Asheville, and it just moved into a brand new building there. Dr. Eddie Heath opened the practice back in 1993, and today their vets handle everything from checkups and vaccines to dental care, surgery, ultrasound, laser therapy and allergy immunotherapy.

The rehab side is what sets it apart. Pets coming back from surgery, an injury or a long illness can do rehabilitation therapy right here, and pain management is a big focus across the board. They see dogs and cats plus birds, reptiles and other exotics, and the in-house lab, digital x-ray and pharmacy mean a lot gets sorted in one visit.

Open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and they're taking new clients.

Plenty of Asheville pet folks have been bringing their animals here for decades, and some of the staff go back just as far.
