Wine Wednesday, $10 Old Fashioneds and a $17 Chicken Sandwich

Wednesdays at Salt Face Mule take $2 off every glass and $8 off every bottle of red and white wine. House Old Fashioneds and Manhattans are $10, and a fried or grilled chicken sandwich with fries and a pint of house beer is $17.

Add a round of mini golf for $5 more. Deals run 11 AM to 8:30 PM.

Salt Face Mule Brewing Co. is a brewery, restaurant and mini golf spot on Weaverville Highway in Woodfin, a few minutes north of downtown Asheville. Two outdoor courses add up to 36 holes of mini golf, so you can play a round with a pint in hand and grab dinner after.

The house beer list covers a West Coast IPA, a hazy IPA, an Irish stout and the gold-medal Mosey on Over Pilsner, plus wine and cocktails. The kitchen does burgers, sandwiches, fried fish, chicken and shrimp and grits, with a kids menu too.

Locals treat it like a grown-up playground. Families come for the mini golf and the free parking lot, and the dog-friendly patio has heaters, so it stays busy even when it gets cold.
