Holiday Bazaar: Wreaths, Greenery and Local Gifts

The Holiday Bazaar runs Saturdays from November 28 through December 19, 10am to 1pm, at 275 Edgewood Road on the UNC Asheville campus. More than 70 vendors set out fresh wreaths and greenery, farm cheeses, local honey, seasonal produce and baked treats. Knock out your holiday list and stock the table in one stop.

North Asheville Tailgate Market is the area's oldest farmers market, running Saturday mornings on the UNC Asheville campus since 1980. More than 70 farmers, bakers and craftspeople sell produce, meat, eggs, cheese, bread, plants, prepared food and crafts, and there is usually live music. The main season runs 8am to noon from April to the Saturday before Thanksgiving in Lot P34 at 275 Edgewood Road. A Holiday Bazaar follows from late November through the Saturday before Christmas, and a winter market runs January through March, both 10am to 1pm.

North Asheville families call it the best farmers market in town, and plenty of locals plan their whole Saturday around a stop at the UNCA lot.
