Edan Aldridge plays Old Town District Black Mountain on Sunday, November 1 at 3:00 PM. Grab a friend and make a night of it.

The Old Town District is Black Mountain's walkable historic downtown, a few blocks of locally owned shops, galleries, craft stores, restaurants and cafes in commercial buildings from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Seasonal festivals, live music and art markets keep it busy, and it's about 15 miles east of Asheville.

Locals like the slower, friendly pace and the mix of mountain-town feel with arts and dining. Shops carry antiques, handmade crafts and Appalachian heritage goods, and small festivals in the public spaces bring the whole town out.
