Christmas at Biltmore and Candlelight Christmas Evenings

Biltmore House is decked out for the holidays, with dozens of decorated trees, garlands, ribbon and lights through America's largest home. Christmas at Biltmore runs through January 10, and Santa stops by on select dates, including weekends.

For the evening version, book Candlelight Christmas Evenings, which run through January 9. Candlelight, firelight and live music fill the house after dark. Evening tickets start at $135 and include free grounds access the next day.

The Biltmore Estate is the Vanderbilt family's 250-room Biltmore House and the 8,000 acres of gardens and grounds around it in Asheville. Beyond the house tour you can walk the gardens, taste award-winning wines at Biltmore Winery, and shop and eat in Antler Hill Village. The estate has three places to stay overnight and restaurants that run from casual cafes to fine dining. In the evenings, Luminere is a light experience on the estate grounds.
