A series on how local businesses are adjusting to the COVID-19 crisis

In the wake of COVID-19 Flori Pate, Co-Founder of Food Connection and Dig Local, has worked with her team to create a new way for folks to purchase meals from local chefs for our neighbors in need.
While we've all had to adjust to the "new normal" (whatever that is), our local business owners and managers each have their own story to tell about how they've been affected and what they are doing during these unprecedented times. Dig Local is proud to partner with our friend, Ann Smith, at Leap Frog Tours to interview some of the folks who make Asheville, Asheville.

Lawn Concert with Zoe and & Cloyd by Isis Music Hall

Unlike their previous lawn shows there will not be open free lawn seating (ie blankets, bring your own chairs, etc) as Isis Music Hall is following strict distancing rules right now. There will be tables throughout the patio and lawn - these tables will be specifically spaced to meet distancing regulations. Seating is limited so they recommend calling and making dinner reservations! Their same delicious food will be back on the menu in a more limited selection until they can get things up and running steadily again.

Please call with any other questions or to reserve a table at (828) 575-2737!

 Dig Local Playlist on Spotify

Five More Local Tunes Have Been Added.

One of the five new songs added this week is
"Them and Us" by Chuck Brodsky.

"Chuck Brodsky is a storyteller, a songwriter, a troubador, a modern day bard. His acoustic guitar and voice draw you in with genuine, down-to-earth warmth and quirky, rootsy, finely crafted songs. Chuck’s wit and irony, set to haunting melodies delivered over syncopated guitar strumming or sweet fingerpicking, tells stories of oddball and underdog characters. His songs celebrate the goodness in people, the eccentric, the holy, the profound, the courageous, the inspiring, the beautiful. They poke fun at what needs poking, and sometimes challenge what needs to be challenged. They’re sworn to tell the truth."
