A series on how local businesses are adjusting to the COVID-19 crisis

Meet Jamie Ager, 4th generation farmer of Hickory Nut Gap Farm in Fairview. Just as any grocery store, the small farm store at Hickory Nut Gap found itself saturated with demand for local's favorites due to the uncertainty of the future. Check out the interview to see how they've pivoted to meet demand and are working to create a healthy community.
While we've all had to adjust to the "new normal" (whatever that is), our local business owners and managers each have their own story to tell about how they've been affected and what they are doing during these unprecedented times. Dig Local is proud to partner with our friend, Ann Smith, at Leap Frog Tours to interview some of the folks who make Asheville, Asheville.
#SaveOurStages Golf Tournament

Dig Local is a proud sponsor of The Grey Eagle #SaveOurStages Golf Tournament happening August 30 at the Grove Park Golf Course. Grab your clubs, the best players you can find and sign up! This tournament welcomes local businesses, community partners, and supporters of the music and arts for a day full of golf, LIVE MUSIC, games, food, drinks, and lots of fun! Your participation will directly support The Grey Eagle, local musicians and the #SaveOurStages initiative.

The #SaveOurStages initiative works with the
National Independent Venue Association, a group of independent venues across the United States that are asking Washington for targeted legislation that will help independent venues survive. Venues were the first to close and they will be the last to open, causing our small businesses to be in extreme danger. #SaveOurStages is focused on modifying the current legislation for businesses like independent venues that are completely closed and at risk of permanently shutting down.
We hope to see y'all on the 30th!
