Thrive at Instant Karma - #digAVL Video

A series on how local businesses are adjusting to the COVID-19 crisis

Mike, aka Mr. Manager, is just one part of the awesome and funky puzzle that makes up Instant Karma. If you haven't stopped by to see them yet you are missing out on amazing tapestries, jewelry, clothes, stickers, crystals and so much more. Mike gives us the inside scoop on how they've changed some things inside the store while keeping things outside of the store (like the Karma Bus) up and running for artists, locals and visitors to enjoy.

See the video interview here!
While we've all had to adjust to the "new normal" (whatever that is), our local business owners and managers each have their own story to tell about how they've been affected and what they are doing during these unprecedented times. Dig Local is proud to partner with our friend, Ann Smith, at Leap Frog Tours to interview some of the awesome folks who make Asheville, Asheville.

Just Announced!!!

Yonder Mountain String Band Drive-in Show!
Dig Local is psyched for this one. Our friends at Asheville Music Hall are bringing Yonder Mountain String Band to the Smokey Mountain Event Center in a drive-in show on October 7th! This is an all-ages show and tickets are sold per vehicle with a 4 person max per. Ticket Info here.
Earlier this week we also announced two drive-in shows presented by The Grey Eagle including Sam Bush on Sept. 20, and the Del McCoury Band on Oct. 3.  Who else besides us is ready to hear some live music? We're thankful that our local music venues are getting creative on ways to safely bring back live music!
Sky Lanes Rolls Back on the Scene

Unless you're like George Vanderbilt or Lady Gaga and have bowling lanes in your house, you've likely been missing out on the fun for months. Well, dig this. Sky Lanes will finally be opening on Friday at 5pm! To keep things safe they'll be operating at only 30% capacity. Grab your pod of up to 6 people per lane, mask up, and go work on your turkey. Beginning Saturday they'll be open every day from 2pm to 9pm.
