The First-Ever GRINDFest
We are so excited about GRINDfest which celebrates Asheville's Black Businesses and Entrepreneurs. Grind AVL invites everyone to celebrate with a weekend of fun, food, learning, and connection. This free 3-day festival falls on Juneteenth, the holiday that celebrates freedom from slavery and the success of Black business owners. After slavery was abolished, the people held as slaves began to use their skills and talents to do business in an economy that previously thought of them as property. Juneteenth will soon become a federal holiday and Asheville is celebrating big by highlighting the progress made by people of color while also connecting folks in the community who are from different cultures. GRINDfest is happening this weekend, June 18th-20th in the River Arts District so make sure you don't miss the inaugural year of this special festival.

Do Good While Running From Zombies!

You can run or walk from Catawba's downtown Asheville South Slope tasting room while you dodge zombies along the way in several Outbreak Zones set up on the route.
