🍜 🍺 Amen for Ramen Brunch! Yoga Sunset Hikes, Golf Against Hunger and more  06/10/22

Amen for Ramen Breakfast (and so much more!)

We all know that Asheville is a big “Brunch Town.” Lucky for us UKIAH Japanese Smokehouse has jumped on board and is now serving weekend brunch.

We recently had the pleasure of tasting some of Chef Michael Lewis’s creative offerings- imagine a mashup of familiar brunch offerings + Japanese street food + southern tradition. We couldn’t resist starting with the Breakfast Ramen with tonkotsu-egg broth, maple shichimi bacon, and a sunny side egg. We then tried the Karaage Chicken & Waffles with salted butter and matcha, putting a sweet spin on the favorite Japanese street food. Delicious! Then Chef Lewis insisted we try his personal favorite, the Shishito Pepper-Cheddar Biscuit with Japanese Sausage Gravy and Eggs.

Oh, and for a very fun drink you will likely not find elsewhere, try the Serial Crusher, a rum-based drink with cinnamon toast crunch washed milk, cold brew coffee and vanilla bitters. The other cool thing is that during the brunch service their full Ukiah menu is also offered.

Ukiah is open for brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 11am - 3pm. Reservations are available via the link below or by calling 828-470-7480.
