It's been exactly 7 months since the launch of Local Flavor AVL and we would like to say THANK YOU for believing in us and supporting the local Asheville business community. We’ve been amazed at the love and support we have received. Asheville has proven to be an ambassador of the Buy Local movement. None of our success thus far would be possible if not for our diverse group of enlightened members. So, what’s Local Flavor been up to lately? We've been BUSY. So far this year, we have sponsored Moogfest, Beer Week, Asheville Half Marathon, Farm2Table 5K, and DIG (Downtown Independent Groove) Festival. Our upcoming sponsorships include Organicfest, Thomas Wolfe 8K, Lord's Acre Fully Bellies Country Fair and the Organic Grower's School's Harvest Conference. 

We’ve also created a brand new category and launched Local Flavor in three new select cities: Greenville SC, Chattanooga TN, and Boca/Delray FL. Whew!


 
Made in Asheville  We're happy to announce that artists, bakers, brewers, candle and soap makers, artisan food makers, herbalists, woodworkers, and other creators now have their very own category on Local Flavor.

Instagram Comes to Local Flavor  You asked, and we listened! In addition to your Facebook page, Twitter account, and website, users can now link to your Instagram page directly from Local Flavor.

To link your Instagram on Local Flavor:

1. Log in with your user name and password on localfalvorapp.com.
2. Click My Business.
3. Copy and paste your Instagram url into the [Instagram profile link] box.
4. Click the Update Business button, and you're done!

Now users can click this button to connect with you on Instagram. Go to your business' page, and the new icon will be there (see screen grab below). We are constantly improving. Do you have an idea you'd like to see implemented? Let us know!
Local Flavor in the News  We recently announced our launch in three new cities. We're thrilled with the receptions from those cities, as well as the excellent support from folks right here at home. We wanted to share the good news with our Members because it's great exposure for us all.
Spread the Love  When you link back to Local Flavor AVL on your website, it maximizes exposure for all Members. Working together to share resources about authentic Asheville is big part of why Local Flavor continues to grow.
