Weekly Scoop (Sept. 24-30) - Nourish Your Soul at This Asheville Farm & Retreat

Finding Your Inner Bliss

Bliss Farm & Retreat provides guests with a place to nourish body and soul.

After his enlistment ended in the marines, Frank Kelly returned home to help grow his father’s bison farm — Carolina Bison — into a successful business. “I invested everything I had into learning as much as I could about producing bison that is as healthy and as great tasting as it could be,” he said.

Frank met his wife Kelly one day at the farm, and their passions for healthy lifestyles immediately clicked. Kelly had left her corporate job back in Georgia and moved to Asheville with a passion for yoga. Both of them were striving to learn more about total health and wellness, which they believe derives from what we put in our bodies, minds and spirits.

“It’s a lifestyle — not a diet or a workout,” Frank King explained. “It’s a way of life.”

After marrying and following more traditional career paths in the bustling city of Charlotte, they began to lose track of what made them happy. “We realized the life we’d been living was not conducive to our true passions,” Frank Kelly said.

They started dreaming of a different life — an environment where they could be surrounded by nature that stimulated and encouraged a lifestyle of health, wellness and complete bliss. After hours of research and searching for the right location, they opened Bliss Farm & Retreat in the serene mountains of Asheville.

Bliss Farm & Retreat is not your average bed & breakfast,” Frank King said.

He and his wife focus on educating their guests on how to raise their own food and know where their food comes from.

“We work each day to create an environment for our guests to explore their inner bliss, truly unwind from the stresses of life and focus on the self,” Frank King said.

In need of a staycation? Frank and Kelly King invite you to clear your mind, nourish your body and rejuvenate your soul with a stay in either a room or cabin on their beautiful 50-acre farm and retreat center.
