What you need to know
Zen Ink is a tattoo and piercing studio and metaphysical shop at 352 Depot Street in the River Arts District, open since 2016. Its artists work in non-toxic organic and vegan inks, with a focus on fine detail, straight lines and symmetry, and piercings use ASTM F-136 implant-grade titanium and 14K gold jewelry. The shop side sells crystals, pendulums, candles, incense and other metaphysical supplies, and the studio also offers energy work. It's open daily from 12 to 6, walk-ins are welcome, and a $100 deposit holds a tattoo appointment and goes toward your final cost. It has been voted Best of WNC for 10 years.
