What a cool place to check out the architecture and several great restaurants inside.  My favorite is Carmel's, Baba Nahm and Huli Sue's BBQ 

A must go if you are in town.  The very first brewery in Asheville, it is off the downtown scene, but great beer.  If you are luck enough to get a Cold Mountain.  You should.

Deliriously good fried chicken and southern soul food prepared to order and spiced the way you like it, from plain to extra hot. Locally sourced quality ingredients for the classic American recipes made from scratch every day.

Chicken quality here is superb! Order something spicy if you want a challenge, they don’t play any games. Great serving sizes but still a bit pricey. Overall, very pleased with my visit!
