A range of techniques will be demonstrated in both glass & metal by members of the Guild.
From 10am to 4pm, master craftspeople will be blacksmithing, glass blowing, piercing and soldering metals, knife making, bezeling, repoussé, copper etching, assembling stained glass, forging and many other artistic processes. Visitors have the opportunity to watch and learn more about two of the original craft media.

For nearly 90 years, the Southern Highland Craft Guild has been showcasing the finest traditional and contemporary Appalachian crafts. Representing over 800 juried artisans from nine states, they offer handmade pottery, jewelry, wood, fiber, metalworks, and more. 

Their shops and galleries across Asheville, including the Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway and locations in Biltmore Village and Tunnel Road, celebrate the rich craft heritage and vibrant maker community of the Southern Highlands.
