Qigong - New Health trend from Ancient China

Qigong, pronounced “chi gong,” was developed in China thousands of years ago as part of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves using exercises to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being. Qigong has both psychological and physical components and involves the regulation of the mind, breath, and body’s movement and posture. Recent studies have shown that a regular Qigong practice can help with anxiety, stress, depression, and many age related illnesses. Dragon Phoenix is the health center in North Asheville that offers Qigong classes 3 days a week along with Tai Chi classes. Tuesdays and Fridays 9-10am, and Tuesday afternoons 2:45-3:45.
