Join us for a celebration of African-American Spirituals with tenor, Terriq Deontri, and pianist, Daniel Weiser. A Program of Powerful and Lyrical Spirituals including “Deep River,”“Go Tell it On the Mountain,” “Witness,” “Amazing Grace,” “God is a God” and many more Terriq Deontri received his masters at the University of Maryland Opera Studio. Upon graduating, he performed in his first professional engagement as Le Remendado in Bizet’s Carmen with the Washington Opera Society. Deontri attended Pittsburgh Festival Opera where he premiered as Victor in the critically acclaimed, New York Festival award winning opera A Gathering of Sons.
