Bees Knees Ice Cream makes a comeback exclusively in Black Mountain for Sourwood Festival!
Bees Knees contains local mint and honey plus rose and lavender, combining to make one of our favorite all time flavors at The Hop! This is also inspired by a Dobra Tea drink of the same name.
This small batch will be released Friday, August 8th at 114 Cherry St in Downtown Black Mountain and will be on the menu while supplies last.
Special shout to Bountiful Cities FEAST Gardens at Hall Fletcher & Lucy S. Herring Elementary Schools for the mint as well as Haw Creek Honey for helping make this flavor even better 🙂

The Hop Ice Cream has been an Asheville institution since 1978, with imaginative and locally-influenced flavors. Owners Ashley and Greg Garrison opened their first downtown location at S&W Market. The menu features homemade dairy and vegan ice creams, classic milkshakes, sundaes, desserts, and made-from-scratch waffle cones. The Hop’s flagship flavors (Salted Caramel, Vanilla Bean, and Chocolate) will be offered alongside a variety of staples and rotates flavors — often featuring local ingredients and collaborations with Asheville businesses.
