A.G. Hammond Allison “A.G.” Hammond was born in Asheville, North Carolina. She grew up in an artistic and musical family. A.G. was a violinist for the Asheville Youth Symphony for nine years and took piano lessons. She sang in traveling choruses and has been performing since she was a little girl. A.G. graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a Commercial Graphics Degree and a U.S. Army Broadcast Journalism, Videography and Photography Degree from the Defense Information School (DINFOS), Fort Meade, Maryland. She was a part of a military operation to observe surroundings along with the CIA and Secret Service during President George W. Bush’s motorcade parade after his inauguration. A.G. is also a fine artist and has won many awards for her works and has displayed her art in the Congressional Halls in Washington, D.C. and many other contests and events, as well as for events in support of domestic violence and sexual abuse. She has been a singer, songwriter and producer in the music industry for many years; her first performance name was “Ales Gaye”. A.G. was nominated for a Grammy while living in Memphis, Tennessee for her album, “Candy Box” under the moniker “A.G. Blue”.
