Dueling Duets - Colman Williams IV and Lightnin' Luke

The Scoop

Coleman Williams, known professionally as IV (pronounced "four"), is an American country singer-songwriter. He represents the fourth generation of the legendary Williams country music dynasty, as the great-grandson of Hank Williams, grandson of Hank Williams Jr., and son of Hank Williams III. His music is a genre-blending sound that combines southern storytelling and country textures with a DIY attitude. Coleman Williams is noted for wanting to forge his own path in music, not wanting to simply live in the shadow of his famous family's legacy. He even pursued other interests, including getting a degree in literature and working as an educator, before fully committing to his music career at age 29. Lightnin' Luke is known for his soulful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and energetic fiddle playing. He has over 20 years of experience, including classical training and jazz fiddle studies at Berklee College of Music. Luke's music blends blues and modern elements, and his songs explore themes like individual struggles and life's complexities. See less Asheville, North Carolina
