Anya Hinkle is a talented singer-songwriter who effortlessly blends elements of Americana, folk, and old-time music into a captivating and heartfelt musical experience that will leave you wanting more. Born in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, Anya’s music is steeped in the tones of folk and bluegrass and seasoned by travels across the world with vivid storytelling, vibrant musicianship, and arresting honesty.
Anya won the Merlefest Chris Austin song contest (2019) and USA Songwriting Competition (2024) and was a recipient of the prestigious National Endowment for the Arts USArtist International Grant (2025) with her worldgrass trio TANASI.
Anya tours nationally in the US as well as extensively in Japan and Europe.
Omar is a distinguished musician and educator with a remarkable command over multiple instruments, including violin, viola, guitar, and mandolin. As a co-founder of the original Americana group, Violet Bell, Omar has made significant contributions to the contemporary music scene.
