The group began 3 -4 yrs ago as a side project for Alex while he was playing in various other groups and living in Del Rio TN . Hence the Del Rio Trio.
The groups first couple of gigs were at nolichucky River parties and festivals - also playing some bars in the area when everyone has availability. It was a push to do some original material that gets backlogged often bc of other music obligations - there are covers / originals - jazzy stuff- Latin jazz- Jjcale covers, dead , reggae , Dylan - and other artist who have influenced the group - currently working on a 3/4 completed EP that got hauled due to COVID the first time and then Helene - we are glad to be back doing some occasional shows for this outlet of material that gets overshadowed often by the other projects we all play in - expect variety - grooves - and a good time!!
