Guitarist and singer songwriter Brooks Butler first played on the Asheville scene in the early 1990's with the bands Jupiter's Eye and Strobe Light Cock Fight. His group Smoky Mountain Drum & Bass became a regional favorite in the early 2000's. More recently he's rocked with the bands Rafe Hollister, Cult of Kings and The Monkey Club. He frequently backs up singer songwriter A.G. Hammond. He'll be performing originals of his own and from his many band collaborators as well as tributes to the Grateful Dead and other favorites.
