The Boys of Buncombe have been performing Celtic music together for over 30 years. The core duo is Steve Trismen on violin and Steve Burnside on guitar and accordion. For the 2026 events, multi-instrumentalist and national touring artist Landon George will assist on bass. Originating in Colorado in the early ’90’s, the Boys have performed throughout North Carolina playing contra dances, weddings, bar gigs for the past 25 years. Each St Patrick’s Day, the Boys mix rowdy pub drinking songs, traditional fiddle tunes, and Celtic Americana with an entertaining selection of tunes from the Clancy Brothers and the Chieftans to the fiery Pogues and Steve Earle sentimentality.
