In a world shaped by war, displacement, and a growing sense of uncertainty, the act of creating and observing beauty becomes a quiet form of resistance. This exhibition of botanical drawings explores inner calm not as an escape from reality, but as a way of remaining present, attentive, and grounded. Through plants, light, and careful observation, the works reflect a belief that even in fragile conditions, life continues to grow and quietly persist. Artist Statement: Working primarily with watercolor and colored pencils, I turn to botanical subjects as a way of seeking stillness in turbulent times. Plants offer a silent structure — a rhythm of growth, endurance, and renewal that exists beyond human noise. Some of the works present flowers and branches isolated on white paper, emphasizing translucency and vulnerability. Others emerge from darkness, illuminated softly against deep black backgrounds. Together, these contrasting settings reflect the movement of life between fragility and strength.
