Weedeater is a sludge metal institution out of Wilmington, North Carolina, formed in 1998 from members of the dissolved Buzzov-en. Fronted by bassist and vocalist Dixie Dave Collins, the band plays what they simply call "weed metal" — a dense, slow-grinding style that owes as much to Southern grit as it does to Black Flag and Black Sabbath. Their most recent album *Goliathan* (2015) earned strong reviews for its Southern rock and metal crossover, and the band has been a fixture on heavy underground tours ever since. Conan are a Liverpool doom/sludge trio whose music has been described as "caveman battle doom" — downtuned, distorted, and played at a pace that feels geological. They've been at it since 2006 and have logged a serious discography with consistent critical attention in the doom community. Telekinetic Yeti, out of Iowa, are a two-man band (guitar/vocals and drums) delivering stoner doom brutality with psychedelic flair, earning a following through relentless touring and releases on Tee Pee Records.
