American Football are an Illinois post-rock and emo band whose 1999 self-titled debut — recorded in a house in Urbana — became one of the most influential albums in the entire genre, beloved for its interlocking guitar arpeggios, muted trumpet textures, and quietly devastating lyrics about youth and missed connection. American Football's comeback in 2014 and the subsequent LP2 and LP3 proved they had more to say.

Support comes from Ian Sweet — the project of Jilian Medford, whose own emotionally rich indie rock makes her a natural fit for this bill.
