Alli Marshall hosts The Pocket Project on the third Sunday of each month at Story Parlor — a morning session in West Asheville focused on creative practice, personal narrative, and the kind of work that doesn't have a clean category. Marshall is a thoughtful facilitator and the format gives participants room to dig into whatever they're working on. The Pocket Project draws a consistent crowd of people serious about their creative lives — writers, performers, and people who show up to think out loud. Story Parlor on Haywood Road is one of the few spaces in Asheville built specifically for this kind of programming.
