Masterworks 6: Requiem at Asheville Symphony Orchestra

The Asheville Symphony closes its 25-26 Masterworks season with a powerful pairing of Tchaikovsky and Mozart. Music Director Darko Butorac leads the orchestra in Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 alongside Mozart's Requiem in D Minor, featuring soloists Jessica Beebe, Lisa Marie Rogali, John Ramseyer, and Stephen Swanson.

Two performances take place at First Baptist Church of Asheville on Saturday, April 18 — a 2:00 PM matinee and an 8:00 PM evening concert. The church's soaring acoustics make it one of the best rooms in town for orchestral music, and the Requiem is the kind of piece that leaves you thinking for days.

Tickets are available through the Asheville Symphony box office at (828) 254-7046 or online at ashevillesymphony.org. This is the final Masterworks concert of the season, so seats are expected to go fast for both shows.
