Location: The One Stop

Weird Phishes takes Radiohead's songs and sends them through Phish-style improvisation. It's a mashup project built around those two bands, not a bill featuring either of them.

Full-album performances, unexpected mashups and funk-driven jams are part of the band's approach. Familiar alt-rock songs become the starting point for extended improvisation rather than a straight tribute set.

The One Stop hosts this show at 55 College Street in downtown Asheville on Friday, November 6. Music starts at 10 p.m., and this show is 21+.

The One Stop is the smaller room at Asheville Music Hall, a bar, kitchen and live music venue at 55 College St in downtown Asheville. Shows usually start around 9 or 10 PM, with local and regional bands most nights and weekly nights like Shakedown Sundays. It's 21 and up, and the bar opens at 6 PM most nights and 5 PM on Friday and Saturday.

Regulars treat it as the late show, catching a band here after the main room lets out. It's a good place to hear a band before they move up to bigger rooms.
