Wednesday at Asheville Music Hall works if you want a solid midweek show without the weekend crowds. The room has good sound and enough space to post up with a beer, plus you can actually move around. The room sits directly above The One Stop, so you can catch a band upstairs then head down for a late-night set without stepping outside. Shows here tend to start later and run past midnight, with a younger standing-room crowd that's into it. Downtown Biltmore location means parking gets tight, but the sound hits hard in the 500-cap space.
