Tuesday night at Town Pump in Black Mountain, 7pm start. Good spot for a low-key weeknight hang if you want to get out but still make it home at a reasonable hour. Friday nights are when the full bands take over from nine till midnight, and in a room that holds maybe 45 people with dollar bills plastered on every surface, you're basically standing in the drummer's lap. Bring cash for drinks and settle in at this 1980s holdout where the patio out back is your only escape between sets.
