PostDiluvian is an exhibition featuring work created by two Asheville artists since Hurricane Helene devastated the River Arts District two years ago. The show explores themes of restoration, hope, brokenness and resilience, examining how art helps process both beauty and struggle in life. An opening reception takes place on Friday, September 25 from 5 to 8 pm to commemorate the two-year anniversary of the hurricane and flood.

Chrys Corn Goodman is a figurative abstract painter working in oil and wax. Her work includes drawing, painting, writing, embedded found objects and gold leaf, combining representational and abstract elements. Maryana Rivera is a relief printmaker who finds the medium meditative and satisfying. Both artists were represented in the River Arts District when the flood happened and will attend the opening.

The exhibition runs from September 25 through October 25 at Pink Dog Creative, 348 Depot Street in the River Arts District. Admission is free.
