Friday night at the Grove Park Inn is always a scene, and dueling pianos means requests, sing-alongs, and probably some good-natured chaos. Solid weekend hang if you're up for something interactive rather than just watching a stage. The Great Hall anchors a century-old granite resort perched on Sunset Mountain, about ten minutes from downtown, where 36-foot stone fireplaces frame the room and there's no cover to catch the music. Parking runs free for three hours, then switches to paid lot or valet, but the mountain views and Arts and Crafts bones make it worth the drive up.
