Orbit DVD is an independent movie and game store at 781 Haywood Road in West Asheville, in the old Bledsoe building. Marc McCloud opened it as a video rental store in 2003, and since 2021 it's been all retail: new and used DVDs, Blu-rays, 4K UHDs and VHS, plus imports, region-free and out-of-print titles.

Look for boutique labels like Criterion, Arrow, Vinegar Syndrome, Severin and Kino Lorber, a retro gaming room with classic consoles and cartridges, and books and toys. It's open Thursday through Monday, noon to 7.
